New thing to try in my homemade GP cage......towels and fleece instead of wood shavings! Better for them and easier for me. Just shake off the little poopies and wash and dry! This cavy site deserves some kind of award. They are a wealth of information that no book I've ever read has supplied. I want 2 more pigs with the bigger cage. An American Smooth Self-Agouti sow and an American Smooth Satin Self Cinnamon sow. Steve said "why do you want a selfish goofy sow?".
He's on vaca again next week. Our daughter is on vaca the next 2 weeks before regular school starts. I will go nuts again for the next 2 weeks.
I have a mouse in the wall behind my sink in the kitchen. I could hear him this afternoon in broad daylight!!! I think perhaps he could be the infamous "deck mouse".

Still having comp problems! 2 people have worked on it.....alls well except it keeps freezing now and then! My sis in law sent us a virus and then when that was fixed.....I tried some "new" stuff and caused more problems!
Good news: I built my own guinea pig cage with what I learned on the Cavy sites! YAY!
Had a baseline mamogram......results were OK!

I've joined a new site with a message board! All about cavies! (guinea pigs)!! It's SO much fun! We post pics of our pigs and talk about health tips and funny things exclusive to piggies! We get extremely silly and I LOVE it!
I'm thinking of joining one with miniaturists, that way I can talk to others with my "unusual" hobbies! Makes me feel not such a "freak" where I can't talk with most people about those 2 hobbies.
My only message board for TV shows will stay the 70's Show! Anymore message boards would just be too many to deal with.
School and work began today after 4 weeks of vaca! YAY! the house to myself!!

Super neglected journal! Our vaca continues! We went to an Ecotarium. VERY interesting! Forgot my camera like a GD moron! Had friends over and our neighbor had a clam/lobster fest. Some friends of ours had a baby boy! They are our age.....early 40's. It's their first. Good luck to them! I sure wouldn't want 2AM feedings at this age! lol! Was taking care of our neighbors little dog (Bischon Frise sp?) super cute lil pom-pom head he is! They went camping for the weekend. My neighbor said "never again"! I told her the last time we went years ago.....I said the same thing as I peed in a coffee can. And I never went again! (camping...not peeing). I made Steve take me shopping at the mall twice this week. I bought a ton of dirty romance novels....clothes at Old Navy.....and some dollhouse/miniature books. Have been wallpapering/renovating an old dollhouse. Next week munchkin starts summer school and Steve and I have a week of mornings to ourselves to go to breakfast....shop....go to lunch....whatever! Our vegetable garden is quite "fruitful" ! We have squashes, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, peppers...etc.

"They" are on vaca......so it's like having 2 "little ones" under foot all the time! hence my absence.
Saw some dolls I wanted to buy myself at Walmart today. I was strong and didn't. Might go back. Have been building a mouse spa/retreat (contemporary style)...it's coming out cool! .....you kinda have to see it!
Saw some Canada Geese along the road with their "teenaged" fuzzy kids! Cute! Steve calls them "teen geese" at that stage. Their not chicks anymore, bigger.....but still fuzzy. Teen Geese.

I saw the garden culprit! A chipmunk (and along came his mate shortly after!) tearing around in the veggie garden. Steve told me to put some raisins out to "distract" him....so I did! I hope we have baby chipmunks! My parents did and they said they are tons of fun to watch! and listen to the mother scolding them!
I went the school brunch.....had a good time! It was nice. I didn't eat tho....too busy with my daughter showing me puzzles and books at school!
Have the AC on today.....it's HOT! But SO nice to see the sun finally!
Badeep! Badeep! that's all folks!

Something ate something in Steve's veggie garden....something small he said....he also said "it didn't like it" I said how did you know that? he said "it didn't finish it"....which made me giggle I don't know why. Perhaps it was full? if "it" was small.
Steve's older daughter called from jail 6 TIMES yesterday! I freakin said over the recording "he'll be home at 7!!" GOD! I have better things to do than answer the phone constantly for a spoiled brat loser/drug addict who doesn't even care about her little boy! Steve was visiting his mother for her birthday. She was going on a canoe ride with her daughters....is it wrong of me to hope the thing would tip over? (she can't swim..well neither can I really) I'd just like to see her soaking wet with a fish sticking out of her mouth...just once.
This gloomy weather really has me down in the dumps! I swear when the sun starts coming out and it gets warm I'm spending as much time as I can outdoors!
I've started to consider trying a mouse house in half scale (1/2 inch equals 1 foot instead of my usual 1 inch equals 1 foot) It would be more challenging as the stuff is harder to find and I'd have to craft alot of it myself. Plus, my 3-4'' mice would be better suited to the smaller scale..PLUS I could fit a house on a smaller table. Need to find a book on it soon.
There is a mom's brunch at school Wed.....I'm so nervous about meeting the other moms. I'm afraid they'll all be yuppies.....dressed like yuppies....acting like yuppies.....and I'll feel oddball out. I kind of wish my hair wasn't long as most moms my age have it short.....but my husband/friends/my mother all seem to like it long....me? I don't know....It "feels" like me and I'm too lazy to keep up a "hairstyle".

Steve saw a hummingbird at the fuchsia plant this morning! The plant is almost dead but I guess the hummer still found something to drink in it.
I talked to a chipmunk and fed him raisins this morning! He winked at me! seriously! he did!
Got the property tax bill in the mail...UGGGHHHH! SO much money!! STRESSSSSSSS!
I spilled coffee on my new shirt.....first wearing....it's SO like me. I'm the girl with the rip in her stocking, gum in her hair, scuffs on her shoes, poo on her shoe....etc. Coming out of a public bathroom with t-paper on her shoe. Why can't I be like my sister in laws? Perfectly groomed with a hair not out of place. I hate them! I hate being with them! They'll say "oh I like your shoes" and I'll say "thank you" and they'll say "where did you get them" to which I respond "Walmart" then they say "your SO lucky you can wear cheap shoes! my feet are snobs!" OR they will say "I like your shirt" and I'll say "thank you" and then they'll say "but I think that color would look better on someone with darker skin" (like them). I've taken to just looking at them blankly or laughing when they pay me a "compliment".

There is a very large fly on the screen behind the window. I'm afraid to open that window......cause he wants me...I know it. His body is the size of a peanut M&M! I swear! ok, maybe that's a lil exaggerated....more like a supersized Raisinette.
I didn't do NUTTIN today! Yay me! Yay Sloth! I sat on my ass most of the day chatting on the comp. He's gone fishin.....so what the hell! No supervisor! Munchkin was very tired from her big field trip and just wanted to rest.....so I goofed off! I did ride my exercise bike a lil bit. I said LIL. It's the gloomy raining weather that has me feeling "slothy".
Continuing with my huge crush on Red Sox player Johnny Damon....what a man...what a man...MMMmmmm...MMMMmmm! I couldn't tell you what position he plays (he swings a bat, I know that) but I can tell you how gorgeous he looks running with his long hair flapping behind him. I love his scruff....I love how he shaved the beard for charity....but I love even more that he's growing it back. Suddenly...I'm a big baseball fan.
In The News....apparently some nailpolishes contain a chemical which caused problems for mice/and or their offspring. *mental pic of mice having a manicure/pedicure*

Another raining dreary day! I feel like we are all sleepwalking.....till the sun comes out again. I want to lie in the sun! Sit in the screenhouse! Walk in the sunshine! Even my animals seem blah-ed out.
My period has sucked the life out of me yet again......just hung around doing barely anything this morning....looking like crap on a stick.
I have forgotten yet AGAIN to buy plastic wrap or foil when shopping. I have nothing with which to wrap leftovers....cept tissues/papertowel/or newspaper. It's like a mental block..... block of head....blockhead.
My parents visited the other day. They ask me a million questions about nothing. They think I should be on top of everything. An ant farts 2 miles away and I should know about it. I'm saying "I don't know! I don't know! I DON'T KNOOOOOW!!" the whole time they are here. Steve was working a construction job and they are asking me questions about it. How the hell would I know about THAT?! I'm not going to grill him on every little thing about his job...he wouldn't let me anyway! And frankly, I don't care and I have enough stuff to think about to take care of. EXAMPLE: there are 3 cars parked at one of my neighbors. So my parents ask "what car is who's?" I said "well, the green one is the son's, the gray one is the grandfathers, and the blue one the fathers" they are like "which son? does he still work? does he blah...blahhh...blahhh!" I want to scream "I DON'T CARE!!! so why should you?!"
The Midol is kicking in.....zzzZZZZZZ.....

I have journal block lately. Maybe it's cause I have spring fever? I can think of plenty to say elsewhere and in "real life" just.....not here. I don't know why. Seems to have started since the baby squirrels left. It's like they took my journal "mojo" with them. Maybe I'm "talked out" elsewhere. My husband could testify to this.
Sign seen on hairless guinea pigs at the mall pet store...."We are NOT shaved, we are BORN like this".
Oh! speaking of shaving....I have a huge crush on Johnny Damone (sp?) of the Red Sox! and I WANT his beard back!

The baby squirrels hit the road! Probably a few days ago. Haven't seen them for several days. I figured they were just about ready.
Working on another mouse doll. Smaller, more life size. I didn't care for the way the other one was coming out.
Been spring cleaning. Closets, rooms, art & craft supplies, toys......we accumulate so much junk. Steam cleaning my carpets. And sprucing up my decor for spring/summer.
Thanks to the young-un's birthday we have yet more toys coming into the house. She came home today with yet ANOTHER Care Bear! I'll have to take a head count on them soon, just so we have an official number.
Our giant plant out by the front door looks to not be feeling well.

Got to pull out my squirrel book. The 3 babies are still there.....they haven't jumped yet. I'm wondering how long it usually takes them to "take the plunge". I was telling my mother on the phone this morning. I told her how I read that the mother squirrel have 2 ways of leaving them once they are weaned & ready to be on their own, according to the book. She needs to get rid of them as she most likely has another litter on the way! One way is she acts like she is going out for food but doesn't come back. We were saying how cruel mother nature is when my mother said "maybe she says to them "now if you get hungry, remember how I showed you where to get acorns". And I said "then she says to herself..."I will NOT feel guilty....I will NOT feel guilty!" LMAO!! We were cracking up! The other way she "leaves" them is to just simply kick em out of the nest. It all seems so cruel.... but they seem to be having alot of fun playing with mom not around! I'm assuming once they jump to another tree.....they are off to find mates and will not be out in the tree any longer. I've GOT to dig out that book!
